The Playing Licence (Platzreife)
The Platzreife, or playing licence, is a certificate required in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in order to access golf courses. It is a certification proving that the golfer knows the fundamental rules of the game and has acquired the minimum techniques needed to start playing. The course, lasting 10 hours, covers the essential theoretical and practical aspects to ensure the player is ready to take on the course with awareness and confidence.
